President Salva Kiir Mayardit has pledged to ensure that peace returns to the Republic of South Sudan. Speaking at the third independence celebrations in Juba, President Kiir said that all must focus on peace, reconciliation and coming back together as a strong nation. He however pointed out that our diversity should indeed be a source of our pride, beauty and strength, stressing that tolerance, love and the tremendous desire to do something good always for our beloved country should be the watchword.   President Kiir stated that all citizens should see the attaining of independence as the beginning of the real journey to peace and development, having been involved
